The Looop CGI as a daughter of the Asia-wide network “The Looop” is founded to cater clients with HiRes-Still-Renderings out of 3D- or CAD-data for advertising and marketing purposes.

德路CGI是亚洲范围的网络---“德路”的子公司, 它由3D或者CAD数据提炼出HiRes-Still-Renderings (高分辨率静态渲染)图像, 提供给客户用于广告和营销. 

With the use of CGI-Technology (Computer Generated Imagery) we are able to generate highly realistic looking images out of simple 3D-data. Most products these days are designed in a CAD-program. After The Looop CGI converted these CAD-data into renderable 3D-data we are able to place the clients product in whatever environment the client or creative wish. Realistic reflections, shadows and surfaces makes the product look just like the “real” thing. Due to the still relatively complicated workflow this way of production makes sense if it comes to products that involves very expensive prototypes or where products are not easy to move or ship to locations. Like cars or airplanes for example. 

 CGI技术的应用 (Computer Generated Imagery), 使得我们可以基于简单的3D数据,营造出高度逼真的图像. 如今,大多数的产品是由CAD程序设计出来的. 在德路CGI将这些CAD数据转换为可渲染的3D数据之后,我们就可以满足客户或者创意者的愿望,将产品置于任何他们所希望的场景中. 逼真的反光, 阴影以及表面使得3D产品模型看起来就像是真的一样. 由于工作流程仍较复杂,如果涉及需要生产昂贵的样品,或者产品很难移动或者运输到拍摄现场 (比如汽车和飞机), 这种制作方式就显出它的合理性了. 

Production wise we send a specialized CGI-Photographer to the location to capture a “back-plate” and a special “reflections-shot” with a special camera-setup. At the same time in our home base in Shanghai we prepare the data of the car for rendering. When the location-material is coming in we render the car “into” the location and generate real reflections and shadows by using the actual lighting and surroundings that have been on the location during the time of shooting. Some clients require no “locations” in the background, but want to add a self-designed architecture or tunnel or bridge for example. In this case we build the background as well in 3D and render the car into it.

至于制作本身,我们会派出一位专业CGI摄影师到现场,使用特殊的相机设置,拍摄一张”back-plate” 和一张特殊的”反光照”. 同时, 在我们的上海总部,我们准备所有要用于渲染的汽车数据. 拿到场景素材之后,我们将汽车渲染进场景,并使用拍摄期间实际的布光和环境,营造出真实的反光和阴影. 有些客户不需要有场景的背景,而是要加入一个自己设计的建筑,比如隧道和桥梁. 这种情况下,我们也会在3D中制作出客户要求的背景,并将汽车渲染其中. 

The main advantages of this workflow is the costs that are saved in not-building as many prototypes as is was done before when a real car was needed for shooting. Another positive side effect of cause is that design changes during or after the photo-production can be applied very easy by just re-rendering the image. No need to fly back on location or wait for the next time good weather. Also for the creative this way of production opens new worlds: A car is now place-able in locations where it was not possible before to physically place a car. 

 这种工作流程的主要优势在于,不再需要像从前一样,生产很多样品,来进行真车拍摄,因而节省了费用. 另一个它带来的好处是, 在图片制作当中或完成之后,更改设计都可以简单实现,只需要重新渲染图像即可. 不再需要飞回现场,也不需要等待下一个好天气. 对于创意者来说,这种制作方式开启了新的世界: 一辆汽车现在可以置于一些场景当中,而这些场景以前是不可能放汽车上去的.
